We had an outstanding Catholic School’s Cross Country event at Monte Cecilia Park in Auckland today – hitting a record high of 17 schools represented and almost 600 competitors!
Thank you all for a brilliant day that showed true Catholic Competitive spirit in such a positive way.
The Trophy has gone back to St Mary’s, Ellerslie for a well deserved year of bragging rights (247 points)
2nd: Mt Carmel, Meadowbank (301 points)
3rd: St Joseph’s, Takapuna knocked from the winner’s perch to third place (329 points).
4th: We had a tie, with St Ignatius and Marist, Mt Albert scoring 332 points each.
6th: St Michaels, Remuera (421 points)
7th: St Marys, Northcote (426 points)
8th: Our Lady of the Sacred Heart, Epsom (430 points)

The other five schools did not qualify for trophy points – BUT they won in attitude and perseverence with their small teams that entered! Tino pai – it was fantastic sharing the day with such wonderful kids from all our schools.
Thank you everyone for your support!
Next up is the Chess at St Paul’s Massey – contact Mary Zellman if you would still like to enter your school’s teams or individuals! And Tagalog Speech Competition at St Mark’s Pakuranga!
